Representing Latinas
Celebrando Latinas is more than a magazine, more than a conference and more than a newspaper- it really is a movement that has impacted San Diego for over 30 years. This is possible because our fierce leader, Fanny Miller, doesn’t settle for just informing Latinos, she consistently seeks to be on top of anything that affects or benefits us. This month she had the opportunity to talk with Janet Murguia, president of the national organization UNIDOSUS, formerly known as NCLR (National Council of La Raza), who will be hosting their annual conference here in San Diego. Celebrando Latinas es más que una revista, es más que una conferencia y más que un periódico- en realidad es un movimiento que lleva 30 años de impacto en nuestra comunidad de San Diego. Esto es posible ya que nuestra feroz líder, Fanny Miller, no se conforma con informar a los Latinos, ella busca constantemente mantenerse al pie de todo lo que nos afecta o beneficia. Este mes tuvo la oportunidad de platicar con Janet Murguía, presidenta de la organización nacional UNIDOSUS, antes conocida como NCLR (National Council of La Raza), quienes llevarán a cabo su conferencia anual aquí en San Diego.
